CROSSWALK is based on the view of Kyoto Station as seen through the reflective glass windows, observed from the top of Kyoto Tower. What appears at first as a familiar street scene becomes fragmented and abstracted through reflection, cars, crosswalks, and figures split across panes of glass.
The grid of the window acts as both a frame and a disruption, breaking the city into moments that overlap in time and direction. Movement continues beneath the surface, while reflections distort scale and perspective, turning everyday motion into something graphic and layered.
This piece explores how cities are often experienced indirectly through glass, height, and reflection and how those layers reshape our perception of space and flow.
